Thanksgiving-A Thankful Time

Thanksgiving- What a wonderful thing to do.... have a special day every year to especially be thankful for everything good and wonderful in our lives. I'm really thankful that somebody years and years ago thought to do this. We as Christians are thankful everyday but we do tend to be extra thankful on Thanksgiving. Especially when we see such large feasts on our tables and have very special families to share all this food with and good times of laughter and memory making moments with. We are soooo blessed!

I am so very thankful for God and that he died on the cross for our sins. He didn't have to but I'm so thankful that he did. I am thankful for my family(IMMEDIATE) and (EXTENDED). I love them all so much. I am thankful that we have so much and don't have to do without. God supplies all our needs, and even gives us some extra. Isn't that wonderful?! I am thankful for a church family and wonderful friends. I love them all!

This has been a very nice relaxing weekend, the kids are out of school. We have enjoyed being together, sleeping late (for a change), great food and the wonderful freedom to be able to do whatever we would desire to do. (within reason, I might add). We are a "free" country a very "blessed" country, the U.S. of A. And this freedom we have is ours because God had blessed our nation and allowed out country to prosper. God. God in his greatness has allowed our country to be blessed. I wish every American would recognize this. Men would not have prospered at all if God hadn't allowed. He really must love us an awful lot. Ya think? Well...... I KNOW.(:

My Little Sister

Lets have a bubble fight
Hi, my name is La La. I don't have a blog so my mom let me post on her blog.
I have two little sisters and one big brother. My youngest sister , Annie can be such a booger sometimes. She runs around the house pitching fits and making messes.
But that doesn't mean shes not cute. She calls me La La. I really do love her, but she can be such a brat at times. You can just see the meanness coming out of her eyes in the picture above.

Autumn

I know too much time has passed since my last post, but hey, I've been collecting my thoughts. I think I'll share a few.... The clock has been put back an hour. Does this affect people? Well, maybe not some people, but it sure did affect me. I am one of those people that tries to trick my mind into thinking. O-kay! yeah! I can stay up an extra hour and still go to bed at the normal time (that is instilled in my bodily clock), and read the rest of my book until my eyes are crossing, and all the words are blurring together, and wake up and feel just as rested and perky as ever. Boy did my brain not fall for that reverse psychology. I spent all day yesterday trying to get my batteries recharged. I found out- The Energizer Bunny.... I'm not. Lol. But, allow me to say that once I recharged, I feel great and really am looking forward to the earlier nightfall and the nippy weather that has come our way. I love to get out my candles in the evening and light up a few dozen and whip up a casserole (a comfort food type casserole), or cook up a big pot of soup or chicken stew; umm, umm good. I love the coziness of the earlier evenings. I found a station on XM Radio that is playing Christmas music. I know, it's just the first week of November, and I realize I might be rushing it a bit, but I love Christmas music, and it just seems to go wonderfully well with the changing season. Also, my children are my life (aside from God), but the earlier nights just seem to shut my children's bodies down alot quicker. By 8:00 or so they are pretty much ready for bed, and I shall not lie, that is such a nice thing...Whew! Although I have to admit, my body is trying to shut down alot quicker also. That's not so nice because now I have free time and I can't hardly keep my eyes open. UGHHH!

I thought I would add a little more this and that and post a wonderful Heloise hint that I love this time of year and it's great any time.....

Would you love for your house to smell like you have been baking all day - maybe a fresh apple pie or a yummy seasonal dessert without all the hassle, and without all the calories that we really don't need? Well try this, it is wonderful, the kids will walk in from school searching for that apple pie (now they will be disappointed, but they'll get over it)ha.

Fill a small sauce pan (glass or aluminum) half full of water, about 1/4 cup of vinegar a couple tsp. vanilla and 1 to 2 tsp. of cinnamon . Allow to simmer on the stove top for as long as you want, as long as you add water every hour or so. This makes your home smell like a freshly baked apple pie. I love this wonderful smell. You can make it a tradition every fall to simmer this a few days a week and I guarantee that your children will always associate this aroma with home.

Thanksgiving is coming up soon and I will be thinking on things that I am most thankful for. Those will be for another post, so please check in now and again and let's share some of life's blessings. I would love to hear some of your thoughts on this. Oh, and a few new receipes would be nice also.
