One of those days

Only 2 weeks left until Christmas. I love Christmas but it's such a busy, busy time. The kids are all snuggled up in their beds with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads. I wish! They are all hyped up about Christmas, I have not wrapped a single thing and I've got to hurry up the kids are thinking that they are not getting anything. (no, they know better). We are almost done with our shopping, that's a good thing. Whew! I'm doing better than last year. You would think that the kids would be being extra good but they know that Santa isn't real so I can't threaten them with that. The little girls have been fighting like cats and dogs, that's what I mean by it's been one of them kind of days. Calgon, take me away.......please!!!!!

I feel like a bad mom feeling that way but I know I can't be the only one to feel this way sometimes. Right now as I am trying to type my youngest is standing beside me screaming her head off . She just got in trouble and she has been crying and her throat hurts from crying so much that she is begging me to give her some medicine and she just went and got the thermometer and is checking her temperature herself. Isn't that funny? The screaming isn't though. She said that she wants to have a fever so that she doesn't have to go to church.(it's not even church day). Kids are a mess aren't they? I think we need an early bedtime tonight. I think us girlie's need to have a spa day. Wouldn't that be fun? Oh well, we can dream can't we? It's nice to vent every once in a while this has helped some. I hadn't posted in a while so I wanted to drop a line.

Happy Holidays!!!!!

Thanksgiving-A Thankful Time

Thanksgiving- What a wonderful thing to do.... have a special day every year to especially be thankful for everything good and wonderful in our lives. I'm really thankful that somebody years and years ago thought to do this. We as Christians are thankful everyday but we do tend to be extra thankful on Thanksgiving. Especially when we see such large feasts on our tables and have very special families to share all this food with and good times of laughter and memory making moments with. We are soooo blessed!

I am so very thankful for God and that he died on the cross for our sins. He didn't have to but I'm so thankful that he did. I am thankful for my family(IMMEDIATE) and (EXTENDED). I love them all so much. I am thankful that we have so much and don't have to do without. God supplies all our needs, and even gives us some extra. Isn't that wonderful?! I am thankful for a church family and wonderful friends. I love them all!

This has been a very nice relaxing weekend, the kids are out of school. We have enjoyed being together, sleeping late (for a change), great food and the wonderful freedom to be able to do whatever we would desire to do. (within reason, I might add). We are a "free" country a very "blessed" country, the U.S. of A. And this freedom we have is ours because God had blessed our nation and allowed out country to prosper. God. God in his greatness has allowed our country to be blessed. I wish every American would recognize this. Men would not have prospered at all if God hadn't allowed. He really must love us an awful lot. Ya think? Well...... I KNOW.(:

My Little Sister

Lets have a bubble fight
Hi, my name is La La. I don't have a blog so my mom let me post on her blog.
I have two little sisters and one big brother. My youngest sister , Annie can be such a booger sometimes. She runs around the house pitching fits and making messes.
But that doesn't mean shes not cute. She calls me La La. I really do love her, but she can be such a brat at times. You can just see the meanness coming out of her eyes in the picture above.

Autumn

I know too much time has passed since my last post, but hey, I've been collecting my thoughts. I think I'll share a few.... The clock has been put back an hour. Does this affect people? Well, maybe not some people, but it sure did affect me. I am one of those people that tries to trick my mind into thinking. O-kay! yeah! I can stay up an extra hour and still go to bed at the normal time (that is instilled in my bodily clock), and read the rest of my book until my eyes are crossing, and all the words are blurring together, and wake up and feel just as rested and perky as ever. Boy did my brain not fall for that reverse psychology. I spent all day yesterday trying to get my batteries recharged. I found out- The Energizer Bunny.... I'm not. Lol. But, allow me to say that once I recharged, I feel great and really am looking forward to the earlier nightfall and the nippy weather that has come our way. I love to get out my candles in the evening and light up a few dozen and whip up a casserole (a comfort food type casserole), or cook up a big pot of soup or chicken stew; umm, umm good. I love the coziness of the earlier evenings. I found a station on XM Radio that is playing Christmas music. I know, it's just the first week of November, and I realize I might be rushing it a bit, but I love Christmas music, and it just seems to go wonderfully well with the changing season. Also, my children are my life (aside from God), but the earlier nights just seem to shut my children's bodies down alot quicker. By 8:00 or so they are pretty much ready for bed, and I shall not lie, that is such a nice thing...Whew! Although I have to admit, my body is trying to shut down alot quicker also. That's not so nice because now I have free time and I can't hardly keep my eyes open. UGHHH!

I thought I would add a little more this and that and post a wonderful Heloise hint that I love this time of year and it's great any time.....

Would you love for your house to smell like you have been baking all day - maybe a fresh apple pie or a yummy seasonal dessert without all the hassle, and without all the calories that we really don't need? Well try this, it is wonderful, the kids will walk in from school searching for that apple pie (now they will be disappointed, but they'll get over it)ha.

Fill a small sauce pan (glass or aluminum) half full of water, about 1/4 cup of vinegar a couple tsp. vanilla and 1 to 2 tsp. of cinnamon . Allow to simmer on the stove top for as long as you want, as long as you add water every hour or so. This makes your home smell like a freshly baked apple pie. I love this wonderful smell. You can make it a tradition every fall to simmer this a few days a week and I guarantee that your children will always associate this aroma with home.

Thanksgiving is coming up soon and I will be thinking on things that I am most thankful for. Those will be for another post, so please check in now and again and let's share some of life's blessings. I would love to hear some of your thoughts on this. Oh, and a few new receipes would be nice also.

Our Troops

The sacrifice these men make for our country is something that is totally unimaginable in my mind. These men know that they may not make it home, but they love our country so much that they will put their lives on the line to allow us to keep our freedom. I have posted a few pictures here of my first cousin who is in the military police battalion over in Iraq right now, protecting us from our seen and not so unseen enemies. In my mind these men and women are the hero's of our country. Let's remember them in our prayers that God will protect them and reward them for their ultimate sacrifice.

I Love You Boo, Stay safe.

first post

well, o-kay. This is my very first post. If it reads a little first graderish just bear with me I am new to this. I have been wanting to do this blogging thingy for a while and I just haven't made myself sit down and just start on it. I do have to admit that I have a wonderful friend that has been slightly prodding me for the past 3 or so months to try this.(you know who you are...Denna)LOL. She loves blogging and reading her blogs really has made me want to try this out. I'm kinda liking it already. I feel like I am talking to friends. What fun! Whew! let me tell you, after listening to wonderful little rugrats all day, this is nice. Now to tell you a little about myself, I am a wife, mother to 4 children, referee, waitress, kisser of booboos, chauffer, maid service, helper of homework, bed tucker-in-er, and family physcologist pretty much 7 days a week. Do I like my job, you may ask? Not only do I like my job, I love my job. God has given me my hearts desire in allowing me to love, and raise 4 precious children to hopefully be good citizens and hopefully saved, happy individuals with precious families of their own and sweet little grandchildren for me and my husband.

Oh, yeah, my husband, I did mention a husband didn't I ?LOL My husband is my friend and such a hard worker. I am so thankful that God allowed me to have a husband that is not lazy. He is a crazy goofy man that loveeees to tease people and cut up a little too much, I might add.
He is good father that loves his children very much. I love him very much. We are in this crazy, family raising thing together. We wanted 6 kids, but after 2 decided 4 would be plenty, thank you very much. Do we have our hands full, you may ask?(lots of people tell me this in town), yes we do, but there is absolutely nothing I would rather be doing.(except sleeping the day away with the covers over my head)lol, those days will be back again someday and I plan to enjoy every age of my childrens lives.I may think my house does not look like I might always wish but are we really going to remeber the messy house years down the road or the wonderful times that we spent together as a family? They are going to grow up and leave the nest someday and I would much rather remember the special times together . I think I need a tissue.

Well I think we are pretty much on a first name basis now, so I'll tell you a few more things about me, then I'll sign off. I love going to church, my relationship with God is my life, I love him sooo much, he has been so good to me. I am thankful to be able to raise my kids to know all about him and his word. I love to read, just give me a good, fat book and let me tell you I'm in heaven. I love to sing, singing to myself comforts me. Now it might make you feel like covering your ears or running for cover as fast as you can, but, yeah, it comforts me. I have a twin brother that probably hates my singing. I probably sung us to sleep a few times too many as babies seeing as we probably shared a bed a few times. We look like Mutt and Jeff beside each other. He's a hulking dude and I'm a short gal. Hardly anybody thinks we look much alike. I have a sister 13 months younger. I have 2 nephews and 3 neices, and let me tell you they each own a piece of my heart(I love them so much). I love chocolate and pan pizza. I do love fruits and veges. too , but truthfully, I just love food period. Sometimes this is not a good thing. Oh and Chinese food (my stomach is fixing to growl). I love to make people smile and I love to help others. If I could ever be remembered for anything it would be for everybody to know that I loved them. I like to sew when I have time and make neat crafty things. Someday i'd like to go into the craft making business. Well enough is enough. I've talked about myself enough that maybe y0u feel like you know me a little bit. My blogs from now on will consist of the days of sunshine that pops up over the horizon. Maybe some juicy tidbits of info that I learn daily about all sorts of things. I learn something new everyday. I will try to share little bits of happenings in my life and always love hearing all you guys blogger stories out there. Signing off till next post.......
